Donate Life Kentucky Trust Currently, 1,000 Kentuckians and 100,000 children and adults in America are waiting for their gift of life.

Donate Life Kentucky Trust is a 501(c)3 nonprofit supporting organ, tissue, and eye donation in Kentucky by providing vital services for transplant patients, caregivers, donor families, and educational initiatives. Donate Life Kentucky Trust supports Kentuckians through programs funded by dollar donations at driver’s license branches and additional fundraising efforts by volunteers and philanthrop

ic contributors:

Educate and Inspire: We provide public education and outreach, including Kentucky driver’s license training, educational materials, and community events. We also fund scholarships to Kentucky students who champion organ, tissue and eye donation awareness and support vital partnerships to maintain the Kentucky Donor Registry. Aid Transplant Patients and Families: We partner with Transplant Centers to offer critical assistance to Kentucky transplant patients and their families, covering travel expenses, lodging, medications, and essential needs. Our Pediatric Pre-Transplant Patient Assistance Fund supports young patients and families facing a daunting time on the waiting list. We have seen a 45% growth in requests, now averaging five requests per week for $1000 each to help patients in need. Support Donor Families: We provide compassionate support for the vital needs of donor families, which may include lodging, daily necessities, burial or cremation costs, and transportation of remains. We partner with Kentucky’s organ procurement organization to support aftercare programs, such as children’s camps and grief support initiatives. We have seen a massive increase in requests and now require at least $50,000 per year to meet the needs of these generous families.

We also loved introducing you to so many of our amazing local elected officials, volunteers, business owners, advocates, and community champions. It's always inspiring to bring together people who are passionate about making a difference.

Until next time! 💙💚

When families are facing what may be the hardest day of their lives, even the smallest comforts can make a meaningful difference.

As donor families spend long hours at the hospital, many haven't had the opportunity to shower, charge their phones, or gather basic necessities.

Each care package packed is a reminder that they are seen, supported, and deeply appreciated for the incredible gift their loved one may provide to others.

At Donate Life KY Trust, we are honored to explore ways to support donor families during these difficult moments and hope to provide comfort and essential supplies when they are needed most. 💚💚🩵🩵

A special shoutout to Emily Miller and Denisha Parker Moore , who did a fantastic job representing the mission at Republic Bank’s 6th Annual Juneteenth Celebration. Their passion and dedication helped educate and inspire members of the community about the power of donation.
