Black adults are 20% more likely to report serious psychological distress than white adults.

Black and African Ancestry around the country deserve supportive and healing spaces by and for us to help our communities thrive.

NAMI Sharing Hope is designed to introduce discussions on mental health and wellness through a three-part community conversation series grounded in the sharing of sacred stories and guided dialogue on mental wellness and support.
If you are a part of the African American community and are interested in sharing your story, join us virtually on June 24th @5:00pm!

Taste for life is right around the corner!

In 2019, A Taste for Life was hosted in Germantown to honor Anthony Bourdain, a famed chef, author, and TV personality who died of su***de. Sadly, such tragic endings aren’t uncommon in the restaurant industry, where stress levels are high, hours are long, the pace is frenetic, and the pay is generally low. A Taste for Life is an Anthony Bourdain-inspired mental health event to start an honest conversation about the long hours, stress, addiction struggles, burnout, and emotional toll many in the service industry quietly face.

This event, hosted by Dawne Gee, will help us turn food into purpose by bringing over 55 local chefs to the table to share samples of their inspired creations with our attendees.

Proceeds from this event will go to support NAMI Louisville: providing education, support, and advocacy for individuals and families struggling with mental illness, and to the Pete Foundation: raising awareness around su***de prevention.
