Since 1923 Kosair Charities has had one primary mission – helping children in need. Kosair Charities knows that the quality of a child’s tomorrow depends largely on the quality of health, medical treatment, and support a child receives today. Kosair Charities supports over 100 pediatric agencies in our community with funding for research, clinical services, health education and care every year.

Last week, we surprised Kosair Kid Brendon with a wheelchair accessible van! The first thing he wanted to do was crank up the radio. 🎶

Brendon and his family are beyond grateful for this gift, made possible by your generous donations. Now, they have safe, reliable transportation to take Brendon everywhere he needs to go, as well as fun trips to visit family!

Kids in Allen County have a new place to play! We were excited to dedicate the Kosair for Kids Playground at Fred Hale Park in Scottsville on Monday.

Kosair Kid Avery helped cut the ribbon on the inclusive playground before running out to enjoy it with her sister and other local kids. As an infant, Avery required surgery due to a congenital heart defect. Kosair for Kids supported Avery’s family by covering expenses related to her surgery and other complications caused by her condition.

Yesterday, we announced our $2.5 million grant that also provides specialized care, education, support, and resources for families from pregnancy through early childhood. This investment will make a difference for future generations of children in south-central Kentucky!

Special delivery for Kosair Kid Cole in Tompkinsville!

Cole and his family received a wheelchair accessible van donated by the Kosair Shriners. This van will make getting around a little easier for Cole, who lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. We’re grateful to collaborate with the Kosair Shriners to help make this incredible gift possible.
