It was nice to be invited. Glad some of our KYMBA Louisville volunteers could attend. Can’t wait to see what JMF looks like in the future. ❤️

Meet (some of) our Natural Areas volunteers! These passionate community members support us (and you!) by inspecting/maintaining/building trails, removing invasives, picking up litter, pointing hikers in the right direction, helping out with programs and events... the list goes on and on. We are incredibly grateful for the thousands(!) of hours they invest in our parks each year! 🌲⚒🥾

Just a heads up, expect the park to be busy this weekend. Hopefully we get lucky with dry, rideable trails. Either way, it sounds like a pretty good day for a ride, some music, and a cold beer with good people. Hope to see everyone out there.

JUST ANNOUNCED! The Seneca Park Beer Garden on May 29, 5-8pm will include live music by Cait Justice thanks to our sponsor Glenview Trust and support from The Monarch!

Cait Justice was born and raised in the hills of Eastern Kentucky. As a self-taught Folk and Americana singer-songwriter, she uses music to do what she loves most - tell stories and connect with others.

Cait’s songwriting is often described as well beyond her years, drawing from her own lived experiences, and she does not shy away from describing the harsh sides of life.

She has recently opened for Clay Street Unit, Maia Sharp, and The Bibelhauser Brothers, and is opening for the Old 97s at Waterfront Wednesday in August.

Along with her songbird voice, her music captures the spirit and heart of Appalachia - hauntingly and achingly beautiful.

Good things are happening! I hope Floyd county is ready for some mountain bike trails. We will need volunteers to help maintain future MTB trails. Comment if you are interested.
I would also like to give thanks to the city of New Albany and Claire Johnson for involving us on this project. Thanks!

I’d like to offer a up a huge belated “Thank You” to all those who showed up this past Saturday to give a little back to the trails and the sport we all love. Special thank you the Alex and Katie from Olmsted for staging the supplies for the trail day and bringing in their equipment and trail building experience. We’ve made a good start in what is a new chapter and changing relationship between Olmsted Parks and Kymba Louisville. Be on the lookout for more trail days and opportunities to give back. Really looking forward to seeing what’s next. Please be sure to thank those who came out and did their part to help improve the trails for all users.
