PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate release
West Louisville Youth Space, Inc., formerly St. Anthony Community Outreach Center, is proud to announce the Charlie Johnson Community Challenge! The Charlie Johnson Community Challenge is a simple concept that engages the entire community and challenges a thousand (1000) people, businesses or organizations to contribute $100 for the programmatic activity and/or general operation of West Louisville Youth Space. The challenge will begin February 1st and run through March 2nd.
Long-time West Louisville businessman, Charlie Johnson will continue to serve as the spokesman for this initiative.
The original challenge was initiated to prevent the program from closing and continue operation throughout the summer. However, due to the overwhelming response from the community, the program has been rejuvenated and able to sustain operation for another fiscal year. This proves that the community is concerned with the state of West Louisville and the youth that live within. Community support is imperative to the success of community organizations that service youth and we want to afford this community every opportunity to do so.
Contributions will be received at any BB&T branch, on the West Louisville Youth Space Website (www.wlyouthspace.org) or directly at West Louisville Youth Space. No contribution is too large or too small and all are greatly appreciated.
For additional information, please contact Pat Mathison or Sis Von Kanel (502) 776-9126.
