🏕️ Summer is just around the corner!

At Good Samaritan Children’s Home, preparing for summer means everyone pitches in. From helping with chores and cooking meals to setting up a tent for outdoor fun, these children are learning valuable life skills while building confidence and responsibility.

We can’t wait until our mission team arrives later this summer!

You’re a part of the team too! Every gift and every prayer is what keeps this ministry going!

❤️ Children are remarkably resilient.

What was once a shelter serving internally displaced Ukrainians has become a refuge for women and children escaping abusive situations.

We get to see first hand how these kids are bouncing back in part because of the loving and nurturing environment at the shelter.

Healing can look surprisingly ordinary.

A game played in the yard or a new adventure imagined from everyday objects.

Your support helps provide refuge, restore dignity, and share the hope of Christ with families facing difficult circumstances.

The language may be different, but the message is the same.

In a small church in Chernivtsi, our brothers and sisters in Christ lift their voices in worship. Though many of us cannot understand the words being sung, our God hears every praise, prayer, cry for help, song of hope.

“And they sang with a loud voice…” Revelation 5:12

Your continuing support enables our team to serve the people of Ukraine and share Christ with them. One day, we can all sing together before His throne.

😎Summer is here!

This year, we need your help to send Ukrainian children to summer camps and to prepare them for school in the fall. You can bring a smile and give hope to the kids in Ukraine who’ve survived this war for far too long.

One gift. Two seasons of impact: from Camp to Classroom.
• A gift of $50 can send one child to camp or provide a school uniform for one child.
• A gift of $100 can send two children to camp or help bless a family with school supplies.

Whatever amount you choose to give, we know God will use it in great ways for these kids!

Food packets are being distributed through our church plant in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, helping care for some of the most vulnerable people affected by war.

Children.
Widows.
The elderly.

Those who remain must still find a way to carry on through the challenges of daily life.

Because of your support, practical needs are being met, but even more importantly, the Gospel message of hope and salvation is being shared.

James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress

On June 2nd, Russia launched one of the largest missile and drone attacks of the war, striking Kyiv and cities across Ukraine. Homes were damaged, 11 civilians were killed and over 100 were injured, and thousands once again sought shelter as explosions echoed through the night.

For many Ukrainians, this is not breaking news—it is daily life.

While the headlines may fade, the reality remains for the families, pastors, and churches we serve alongside every day. Parents are still trying to provide for their children. Churches are still opening their doors to those in need. Ministry teams are still delivering aid, sharing the Gospel, and reminding people they have not been forgotten.

As you read the news, please remember the people of Ukraine in your prayers. Pray for protection, strength, peace, and hope. And pray for our ministry partners as they continue serving faithfully in the midst of war.

🇺🇦 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

📦 You packed it. They’re still receiving it.

The shipping container loaded months ago is continuing to bless families across Ukraine.

In many of these pictures, you can see blankets and quilts.

The blankets were made here.
The warmth is being felt there.

The kids at Good Samaritan Children’s Home are hard at work cleaning, cooking, and getting everything ready for a very special celebration… the home's 26th birthday!

On June 1st, 2000, Good Samaritan opened its doors in Mariupol, Ukraine, to care for vulnerable children who had been abandoned or neglected. What began as a safe place for hurting children grew into a ministry of restoration of broken families.

In 2022, the children and staff were evacuated to Germany, where the ministry continues today.

Now, 26 years later, we are celebrating God’s faithfulness, the love of a family knit together, and the hope that continues to carry them forward. ❤️

Join us next week as we share photos and updates from the celebration!

You packed it. They’re receiving it.

Families in the Rivne region of Ukraine recently received supplies from the container many of you helped pack back in the fall— the drawstring hygiene bags, the t-shirts, the everyday essentials — they are now in the hands of Ukrainian families impacted by war.

Your generosity traveled a long way. ❤️ What may have seemed small to you became a blessing to someone else.

Today, we remember the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free and that peace often comes at a great cost.

Through our work in Ukraine, we have witnessed firsthand the grief that follows the loss of those who defend their nation. In nearly every Ukrainian city and village, memorials have been erected to honor soldiers who never came home.

May we never take freedom for granted, and may we continue to pray for peace, comfort, and hope for those who mourn.
