It has been reported that emails are being sent from a Gmail account, posing as me, asking for help and gift cards and stating that I am sick in the hospital. This is a scam and is NOT a legitimate account. If you receive an email report it to your email provider as phishing.

Per State Commander Nicole Horseman, State Headquarters will be closed from April 27, 2026 - May 1, 2026. Due to the Kentucky Derby and the traffic from the Derby. The Office Staff will be working from home. If you need to reach out to them, please email at [email protected] with your number and the reason you need to speak with them and either Martha or Tammy will give you a call back. They will be checking the email throughout the day. The office will open back up on May 4, 2026, at regular time.

Today was a win , while this is an executive order the VFW has been pushing this for years . Great work Washington . this isn’t a political post this congressman is the head chair of the veterans committee

A fallen sister was returned home to Kentucky yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of TSgt Ashley Pruitt who sacrificed all for the freedoms so many take for granted. She will be laid to rest this weekend and will never be forgotten.

Navy week is full speed ahead in Lexington. VFW Post 680 Lexington, Kentucky hosted a dinner for RADM Mike Brown, the CO of the USS KY and crew as well as sailors with KY roots. VFW Navy Veterans were also in attendance.

SERVICE OFFICE TEMPORARY CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT

All Service Offices will be closed during the period of April 24th thru May 3rd.
During this time none of our Service Officers will be available to assist clients either virtually or in real time.
Operations are scheduled to resume on Monday, May 4th.
This closure is due to a mandatory semi-annual training requirement by VFW National Veterans Service that our Service Officers must participate in.

SSgt Pennington was brought home to KY today. DEPARTMENT OF KY--VFW and VFW 10281 lined the processional route to solemnly pay respect and show support for his family.
