The Louisville Metro Council Public Safety Committee voted DOWN the proposed Trans Safe Haven ordinance amendment. Apparently there was some late splitting of the pro-Ordinance amendment factions with the JCTA among others remaining in favor, but the ACLU, United Way, and Fairness Campaign among others pulling their support (some thinking it does not go far enough, some worried it would provoke the State GA to go after the broader Louisville "Fairness Ordinance").

Note: These sort of legislations/ordinances never really go away, they get reconfigured and tried again and again.

This will be up for a Vote at the Louisville Metro Council Public Safety Committee meeting today (4PM), if you can attend it would be good to voice your opposition to the passage of this ordinance.
It would be open defiance by the Louisville Metro Council of numerous provisions of state law in favor of giving the LGBTQ+ lobby special rights under the law that nobody else has.
