PAR-People Advocating Recovery PAR is an organization working to eliminate barriers to recovery from substance use disorders

We work to support and provide mentorship for the development of new recovery community organizations. We work alongside state agencies, people in recovery, and other stake holders to ensure gaps are filled and needs are being met across the recovery continuum. PAR draws from research that has been conducted at the federal level to inform and create curriculums and implementation procedures for or

ganizations, agencies, and other stakeholders wishing to create more spaces for recovery equity in their practices. We work to support the needs of the community by elevating voices with lived experience. We train, support and cultivate grassroots advocates to use their voice and share the reality- that recovery is thriving in Kentucky.

Did you know that in Fayette County, there are 13 sites where you can acquire Naloxone, a life-saving drug that reverses opioid overdose, free of charge. To learn more about each of these sites, visit https://findhelpnow.org/ky and navigate to Naloxone. On this website, you can also find mental health providers, substance use disorder treatment, and recovery housing in the area or in any ZIP code in the United States. AllWays Recovery is hosting a community potluck at MaybeItsFate on September 3 from 5:00-7:00 PM! AllWays is a new community coalition aiming to bring together the recovery community in Louisville. Read more below!
