Father's Day is tomorrow. We've been sharing stories this week about some dads who came to CLCM last week. Joe had a high unexpected car repair bill and now is unable to pay his LG&E bill in full......so he came to see if we had any resources to help him. We did.

Wow! Huge thanks to MAC Construction for their support! On June 8, MAC presented CLCM with a check for $29,100. This was part of MSD’s (Metropolitan Sewer District) Community Benefits Program. These funds will be used to assist our neighbors with housing and utilities so that they can stay safely and stably in their homes. A partnership like this continues to build our capacity to partner with and advocate for our downtown neighbors....and we're grateful.

Father's Day is coming up, and we're sharing stories of some dads who came to CLCM last week. Fred was in a car wreck in April and hasn't recovered enough to return to work yet. He can't stretch his savings enough to cover his water bill......so he came to see if we had any resources to help him. We did.

Thanks to the Muhammad Ali Center for partnering with us today, a Day of Compassion. We had a successful drive for personal care items, which was unloaded, sorted and stored by our amazing volunteers Stephanie, April, Kelly and Kathy! Did you miss it? We accept donations of these items every Mon-Thurs from 9:30-noon.

Tomorrow's the day! Your donations of hygiene items to our Personal Care Closet will be gratefully accepted and unloaded from your car TOMORROW, Wednesday June 3, between 11:30am-12:30. Join the Muhammad Ali Center in a Day of Compassion. Your donated items can be dropped off in the parking lot at our office, 809 S 4th St. We especially need dish soap, razors, deodorant, toothpaste, and packs of new adult underwear.
