We’re pleased to share this special event from our community partners celebrating the legacy of Sr. Martha Buser—a beloved teacher, spiritual director, and author.

Louisville teacher and environmentalist Pam Raidt will receive the newly created Martha Buser Award, followed by a lecture from acclaimed English author Dr. Catherine Coldstream, author of Cloistered.

Join us for a transformative weekend retreat and training with Donald Rothberg, exploring how inner awareness can inspire meaningful change in our lives and communities.

Together, we’ll explore the Four Divine Abodes (Brahmaviharas)—lovingkindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity—the qualities of an open, boundless, and awakened heart.

Through meditation, silence, walking practice, reflection, and guided movement, you’ll learn formal practices for cultivating these qualities and discover ways to bring them into everyday life.

As we turn toward autumn, nature invites us to slow down, listen deeply, and let go. Join us for a seasonal journey exploring the wisdom of trees and the ways their rhythms can guide our own growth, resilience, and renewal.

Throughout this seasonal offering, we’ll take counsel from our tree kin—sinking roots, pushing through darkness toward the light, weathering storms, letting go, and standing strong and open. We’ll explore how to attune to the creative forces within, around, and between us.

Each session will include guided meditation, journaling, movement, reflection, small-group sharing, and time outdoors connecting with the trees.

Discover the ancient and transformative practice of sound healing! Explore the rich history of Tibetan sound bowls and experience how vibration and frequency can support deep relaxation, restoration, and inner balance.

You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with authentic Tibetan bowls, set personal intentions, open your energy centers, and let the sounds guide you inward. The evening will culminate in a deeply nourishing meditation and immersive sound bowl journey designed to calm the mind, restore the body, and renew the spirit.

Last Thursday, 20 amazing volunteers from LG&E joined us for their Day of Caring! They rolled up their sleeves to help clean up our overgrown vegetable gardens and tackle other important Earth Care projects around our 27-acre campus.

We are so grateful for their time, energy, and care for our shared Earth. Thank you, LG&E, for helping our gardens—and PESC—grow! 💚🌱

Join us for an interactive Environmental Justice Bus Tour through West Louisville, where we’ll explore the connections between pollution, public health, race, poverty, public policy, and the places where people live.

West Louisville is home to some of Louisville’s greatest environmental challenges—and many of its most historically marginalized communities. This eye-opening tour will help you see our city in a new way and consider what we can do to create healthier, more equitable neighborhoods for everyone.

Give your child four days of adventure, mindfulness, discovery, and connection in PESC’s beautiful 27-acre nature preserve!

Campers will enjoy:

Through practical instruction and guided practices, you’ll learn tools to cultivate greater calm, clarity, insight, and awareness while developing a sustainable daily practice.
