Big thank you to everyone who came out this morning to Bethany cemetery, and helped honor our fallen veterans by placing flags. It was greatly appreciated.

The post and scouts will be placing flags on veterans graves at Bethany cemetery on Saturday May 23rd.

We will be meeting at 9 am in the center of the cemetery. Please come join us.

Ace Hardware and the VFW partner to distribute one million free American flags at participating stores on May 23, honoring fallen service members and supporting local VFW graveside tributes this Memorial Day.

Our 6th district picnic is today starting at 12!! Come out and enjoy some good music, vendors, food for purchase, a bounce house for the little ones all to help support the programs the Veterans of Foreign Wars has to offer!

Happy Mother’s Day to all our moms, the moms who stepped up, and the moms who adopted children when those children had nowhere else to go.

To the mothers who deployed during wartime, thank you for sacrificing precious time with your families so others around the world could experience a taste of the freedoms we are so fortunate to have here in the United States.

And to the mothers whose sons and daughters deployed, never knowing if your child would make it home safely, thank you for raising young men and women who understood that there is something bigger in this world than just themselves.

Today, we honor and thank all mothers for the love, strength, sacrifice, and guidance you give every day. Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1181.
