This , we’re giving United Presbyterian Church in Levittown, NY, a BIG bear hug for sharing their weekly Children’s Offering with the Giving Catalog!

It all started with a small brown bear jar — and a BIG heart for teaching children about generosity. In just under a year, with help from their congregation, the children of the church have made two generous gifts through the Giving Catalog, focusing on educational items like Supplies for Displaced Students, Education Scholarship Funds for Communities of Color and Teacher Training.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day calls us to honor the histories, cultures and enduring resilience of indigenous people around the world.

Globally, Indigenous communities suffer frequent water rights violations, face disproportionate levels of poverty and marginalization due to continual threats to their ancestral land.

Today and every day, we work alongside partners and communities seeking to overcome those challenges by honoring the people who face them and living in solidarity.

On International Day of the Girl, we’re reminded of the urgent, unique challenges facing girls and women around the world. Millions are forced to sacrifice education for work and family. Millions more lack access to the resources and opportunities that would empower them to reach their full potential.

This , we’re grateful for First Ebenezer Baptist Church in Evansville, IN, for receiving loose change offerings that have been making noise for more than twenty years!

Two decades ago, First Ebenezer started collecting loose change to supplement the salary of the church’s then pastor. When he passed away, Rev. Taylor was called to serve, and she kept their noisy offering going, using it as the church's way to make an impact around the globe.

Some of that loose change was used for a Family of Chickens through the Giving Catalog.

For Rev. Taylor, the Giving Catalog was a natural fit. A Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC(USA), connecting the Baptist congregation she currently serves to the Giving Catalog gives her a personal connection to the impact a single gift can make in our communities and around the world.

Today, alongside Christians around the world, we observe World Communion Sunday, celebrating our oneness in Christ and our shared bond of faith.

World Communion Sunday began within the Presbyterian family in 1933 at Shadyside Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA. What started as a local act of unity has grown into a worldwide expression of faith.

Together, we are driven by that faith to help communities in need, wherever they may be. It’s at the heart of the World Communion Offering, received by many congregations today, and which supports racial and gender justice, peacemaking, global witness and ecumenical and interfaith relations.

This , we’ve gotta taco ‘bout First Presbyterian Church of Wilton IA!

For the last decade, this congregation has cooked and served a monthly taco dinner for their community, using the proceeds to help support mission work — but this is nacho average fundraiser!

Using the proceeds from their monthly meal, Wilton First Presbyterian chose to support items found in the Giving Catalog, landing on gifts that empower farmers around the world, like tools, machines, water pumps and livestock.

This , we're planted with First Presbyterian Church of Port Angeles, WA! 🌱

When this congregation of 165 people celebrated Earth Day with a Season of Creation, they honored the occasion by helping plant new life around the world. Their gifts through the Presbyterian Giving Catalog have provided 56 Sapling Sets, which provide communities resources that can grow trees to provide food, firewood, shade and sustainability for generations to come.
That's a forest of resources in the making!

This we're celebrating the young people of First Presbyterian Church Neenah in Neenah, WI, and the steps they took to bring clean water to kids around the world. 👟💧

When the middle school JOY and high school SPY youth groups learned that millions of children spend their days carrying water instead of attending school, they took action.

The two groups worked together to organize a "Water Walk" to raise awareness and funds — resulting in clean water gifts including Community Irrigation Water Pumps, Garden Wells, Mzuzu Drills, Rainwater Catchment Systems and Water Filters. This is what can happen when young people learn their neighbors around the world face challenges they've never had to imagine and decide to do something about it.
