Stroke Recovery is hard and requires constant work. It’s just another reason why all of our stroke survivors are such an inspiration to so many. We have no idea how much work they put into each day.
Well today is National Lazy Day! Enjoy a day of a little rest and relaxation!

A stroke at 17!! It’s the unimaginable and something none of us can fathom happening in our own family. Take a listen to this powerful story. This is why stroke education is so, so important

At 17, Maggie Rasche was having a normal school day when mild tingling turned into a rare spinal cord stroke that left her paralyzed. What followed: 29 days in the ICU, two life-threatening events, and months of relearning how to breathe, speak, eat, and walk.

Today, Maggie is living independently in college, driving, traveling, and pursuing her dream of becoming a civil engineer.

In this episode of “Stronger After Stroke,” I sit down with Maggie to talk about her survival, her recovery, and the determination that carried her through, including the emotional moment she spoke for the first time after her tracheostomy and how she finished her exams from a hospital bed.

Her story is a powerful reminder that stroke can happen at any age, and that recovery is possible.

🎧 Listen now, and share this episode with someone who needs a little extra hope navigating life after stroke.

We’re gathering our amazing auction items and entering them into our new silent auction platform, Zeffy, which we’ll use for the upcoming Tasting Extravaganza. You’ll be able to bid right from your phone at the event and even a few days beforehand. If you can’t make it to the event, you can still join in by downloading the link ahead of time and bidding from anywhere! We will share the link once all items are entered.

A huge thank-you to everyone who has donated items and experiences for this fantastic event. We kindly ask that all donations be received by August 14th, so we have time to stage, photograph, and add each item to Zeffy. Please let us know if you have any quesitons and we look forward to seeing you at the Tasting Extravaganza!
