Delta Zeta was founded by six young college women; Alfa Lloyd, Anne Simmons, Anna Keen, Mary Collins, Mabelle Minton and Julia Bishop. Delta Zeta Grand Patron is Dr. Guy Potter Benton of the Ph

Miami is called the “Mother of Fraternities” as Sigma Chi, Phi Kappa Tau, Phi Delta Theta and Beta Theta Pi Fraternities were also at Miami University in addition to Delta Zeta. Since the time of our founding at U of L, Delta Zeta has been one of the strongest sororities at the University of Louisville winning awards, year after year, for outstanding involvement and leadership. In addition Delta Zeta has received many awards on the National Level including the Delta Zeta Council Award, which is given to the #1 DZ chapter in the nation. Many have served on the Student Government Association, Student Activities Board, Cardinal Host, Student Orientation Staff (SOSers), Cardinal Ambassadors (campus tour guides) and in many service organizations as well. Many members are also part of exclusive academic honor societies.
