EV Data Collection: The Road To Fleet Electrification on Wednesday, February 23rd at 11:00 AM!

KCFC and CALSTART are hosting the webinar to showcase the EV
Data Collection program. TARC will be included to discuss their
participation in the program. Data on medium-and heavy-duty (MD
and HD) battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) are lacking and yet very
much needed as vehicle electrification is expected to grow rapidly. MD and HD BEVs have larger batteries and much higher energy
consumption, and operate in ways that are very different from
light-duty vehicles. CALSTART and its partners are collecting and
analyzing real-world usage data from MD and HD BEVs with the
aim of providing insights on EV performance to anyone interested
in electrifying their fleet’s vehicles. This webinar will cover a local
fleet’s experience with electrification, discuss the importance of
data collection, and will present initial findings from the project.

Electric vehicles are not a new technology. Dating back to the early 1900s, electric vehicles were some of the first automobiles made in the United States and were popular with those who lived in cities. Although technology has progressed drastically since then, people still love how clean, quiet and efficient all-electric vehicles are.
