⚽️☀️ What a week at Christian Academy! 💙💛❤️

From big wins on the field to growing in faith and enjoying the last few warm days, it’s been a great week across our campuses!

⚽️ A HUGE congratulations to CAI Soccer for advancing to regionals! We’re so proud of our team and can’t wait to cheer them on as they continue their season!

🙏 Across our campuses, students gathered for Bible studies, worship, and opportunities to grow in their relationships with Jesus.

☀️ And with one of the last warm days of the season, our students took advantage of the sunshine by enjoying lunch outside with friends!

We’re thankful for the moments that bring us together, the opportunities to grow in faith, and the memories made along the way. What a blessing to be part of the Christian Academy community! 💙💛❤️

✨ 50 Years, 50 Stories ✨

Story 3: Laying a Foundation 💙

In 1977, Darlene Kutzner joined CAL as an eighth grader, becoming part of a small school that was just beginning to build its traditions and shape its future.

From sharing space at Southeast Christian Church to moving to the Rock Creek Campus, she experienced the early days of Christian Academy firsthand. Her class helped establish traditions that continue today, all while building friendships and relationships that would last a lifetime.

Darlene graduated with 19 other students to become the first graduating class of Christian Academy in 1982. She later married fellow 82' alumnus, Jim. Today, Darlene works as an Admissions Coordinator at CAL and continues the mission by welcoming the newest members of our community.

Looking back, she reflects on how much CAL has grown over the past 50 years while remaining rooted in what matters most: teachers who love Jesus and students who are pointed toward Him.

We're grateful for those who helped lay the foundation for the CAL community we know and love today. ❤️💙

🎶💙💛 A beautiful performance by our CAI High School Choir! 💛💙

We’re so proud of our CAI High School Choir and the incredible job they did! Their hard work, dedication, and love for music were on full display, and it was wonderful to see their talents shine.

We’re grateful for the time and effort our students put into developing their gifts and sharing them with others. What a joy to see our Warriors use their talents to glorify God and bless our community!

Way to go, Warriors! Keep singing! 🎶💙💛

❤️💙 Serving Through September 💙❤️

We started Serving Through September with a simple hope: to help our students discover the joy of serving others and following Jesus’ example.

Throughout the month, our kindergarten through fifth grade students found ways to serve at home, at school, and in their communities. They learned that you don’t have to wait until you’re older to make a difference—you can show the love of Jesus through the little things you do every day.

Each thumbprint on this tree represents a student who took the opportunity to serve. Together, these thumbprints are a beautiful reminder of what can happen when we choose to be the hands and feet of Jesus. 🌳

Our prayer is that what began this September becomes a lifelong habit: noticing a need, offering a helping hand, and loving others the way Jesus loves us.

We’re so proud of our students and the many ways they chose to serve! ❤️💙

✨ 50 Years, 50 Stories ✨

Story 2: Honoring a legacy of faith 💙

For our second story in this weekly series, we are honored to share about a founding member of our school system, Shirley Poulter. Shirley's leadership and service helped shape our school’s earliest years. She served as a teacher and administrator for 28 years and later as a board member, faithfully investing in Christian Academy’s students and mission.

We recently honored Shirley's memory with a plaque dedication with her family. Her plaque hangs at our Louisville campus and reminds future generations of the faithful people God used to build Christian Academy. We thank God for Shirley’s life and the legacy she left in our school community!

"I have no idea where God wants to take us. I stopped asking that question a long time ago. But I think what we have to do, I know what we have to do, is continue to follow His lead. When the doors open, go through them!" -Shirley Poulter

Help us congratulate Deon Parker, our Director of Biblical Unity, who shared his message, “Christ is Calling,” at Asbury University’s chapel today!

Making the day even more special, Christian Academy of Indiana and Christian Academy of Louisville alumni—now Asbury students—were there to hear him speak.

Deon, thank you for sharing your heart for Christ and representing our Christian Academy community so well. You make us proud! 💙💛

🍂✨ What a week at Christian Academy! ✨🍂

We wrapped up another great week across both of our campuses, with plenty of opportunities to celebrate, connect, and make memories together!
