On Sunday, September 20, 2026, we will host our annual Salute to Women Awards Ceremony at the Maude Brown Porter Center for Excellence, 3107 S. Crums Lane, Louisville, KY at 3 p.m. We will honor an extraordinary educator, notable community leaders, strong entrepreneurs, and a very special young lady who have and are making their mark in the Louisville community. The event is free and will be hosted by DeAndria Turner from WLKY News. We hope to see you soon!

In June 2026, the members of the HBP Foundation held a soft launch of our new literacy program, Building Readers, Building Futures Read-In program with our friends at the Parkland Library! Bags of books were distributed to children so they could have books of their own. We are working hard on our full program launch in Fall 2027! Stay tuned!

The Little Miss AKA program culminated in a Cotillion on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Kentucky Country Day school. Ten participants met over the past six weeks performing service projects, learning etiquette, attending Charm School and participating in fun activities, along with their escorts. A $500 book scholarship also was presented to Little Miss AKA 2017. Thanks to all of the participants, escorts and parents who worked hard to make the program a success. Enjoy the photos.
