We are excited to announce Woodbine Chamber is now booking intimate shows at co-op gallery! And our first show will be a special one. April 27 NYC based artist comes to Louisville hot off the release of a lush, mysterious and healing new album! To highlight this special moment, presents a new duo performance of stark art pop with piano accompaniment from two generations of Woodbine champs Jackson Kinkead and Charles Rivera. Pre-sale ticket links are live!

We are excited about this partnership with MiF because we can continue to support touring artists at a smaller scale, which means we can do this at a lower cost and at a percentage rate. We are still updating the booking form and webpage at this time to reflect this evolution. Our main space is also still available. We are doing this because we believe adaptability is crucial to any successful artist movement.

As of now, we wish to limit this offer to touring artists and it includes engineering, production, and hosting support. Additionally, we are expanding our resources for the practicality of our main space for rehearsing, recording production, and multi-channel sound art installation, with the offer to visit extended to participating artists.

So get ye a ticket bucko! Limited sliding scale tix only available in pre-sale.

Thanks for the pix .taylor and for sending Pearla to us! Yay. That is all.

Join us this Thursday’s PLR where we will be carpooling to the Breonna Taylor Lecture 5th Anniversary. Thank you for contributing this idea to the group.

Carpoolers should meet at the Woodbine parking lot at 4:45. The building will be open 7-9p during regular PLR hours. Carpool returns at 8:30p. Depending on turn out, we may arrange additional cars or a shuttle. Let us know if you have questions ahead of time. See you then!

I have to be so real and say I'm already an old person and don't understand how to "add audio" that's not an affront to my personal sensibilities and taste (ie: the only 5 songs I listen to versus the music availble on IG.)

This Friday at 130, I'm talking about writing and attempting to live-mix at these weird shows I occasionally decide to make happen. If that's of interest to you, it's free alongside the many other odd informational specialties you can access at the UofL Conference on Literature and Culture.

Additionally, there is a second press of the Signals From the Chamber compilation, edition of 100. Free. Etc. Available at LCLC and Woodbine Chamber (maybe the new Guestroom location if I'm feeling benevolent.)

That's all.

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT

Woodbine Chamber’s Public Living Room is returning FEB 26.

WHAT IS PLR?
Public Living Room (PLR): A free, weekly, informal space and practice group for kin-making, resource building and free public art experiences, volunteer run at Woodbine Chamber, MaybeItsFate, and public parks in 2026.

PLR will be weekly, Thursdays, 7-9p.

In 2026, Woodbine Chamber is intentionally exploring the question:
How might Woodbine Chamber empower a wider community and move toward becoming an organization that embraces cooperative values?

We aim to offer PLR as a path toward answering that question, by creating opportunities for our many disparate networks to bond and identify shared goals.

We are excited to announce we are partnering with a cohort of community members during PLR! Thank you for offering to be a part of this program and for being people committed to community care and interconnectedness.
