Students spent three days on campus studying with Dr. Jim Hamilton in “Old Testament I,” Dr. Jarvis Williams in “Greek Exegesis: Galatians,” and Dr. Stephen Wellum in “The Doctrine of the Person of Christ,” along with chapel and campus life through our Experiential Modular courses.

For Pastor Appreciation Month, Provost Paul Akin looks back on the pastors who shaped his life, from W.A. For Reagan and Lauren Lotze, Preview Day gave them a chance to see what a Christ-centered theological education at Southern could look like.

They met faculty, sat in on a class with Dr. Allison, walked campus, and saw the kind of community they wanted to be part of. What stood out most was the faculty’s love for Christ and their commitment to serving the local church.
