Steven Vanover Foundation The Steven Vanover Foundation’s mission is to eliminate sarcoma Speed School of Engineering, Steven's alma mater.

Steven Vanover was diagnosed with desmoplastic small round cell tumors, a rare and aggressive type of cancer, in December 2013 at the age of 23. He spent his 15-month battle with unwavering determination to fight hard, exude hope and live courageously. Inspired by his fight, we established this fund to preserve his memory and put an end to sarcoma and other rare cancers. We raise money to fund sar

coma research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where Steven was treated. Pathologists at Memorial Sloan Kettering were the first to discover DSRCT (Steven's form of sarcoma), and they are leading the way in treatment options and research. Donations will also fund a scholarship for high-achieving students at University of Louisville J.B. We believe that we will see the day when cancer no longer exists, and it is our mission to help drive the research needed to bring it to an end. By spreading awareness, hosting fundraising events and sharing Steven's story, we strive to create a united front against sarcoma.
