Join Us for a HANDS Baby Shower! 🎀

Expecting a little one or have a baby under 6 months old? We’d love to celebrate with you! Join Family & Children's Place's HANDS Program for a special baby shower featuring games, prizes, diapers, community resources, and more.

This free event is a wonderful opportunity for families in Jefferson County to connect, learn about available supports, and prepare for their growing family. Scan the QR code to RSVP by October 10.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month reminds us that family violence doesn't happen in isolation, and neither should the response to it.

At Family & Children's Place, we see every day how domestic violence impacts children, parents, and entire families. Through our Child Advocacy Center (CAC), we help children and families navigate the aftermath of witnessing trauma and/or experiencing abuse with safety, support, and healing. Through our Visitation & Parenting Services (VPS) programs, we help families build healthier relationships and create safer paths forward.

Ending violence requires more than responding to individual incidents. It takes a community committed to addressing the root causes, supporting survivors, protecting children, and working together across systems and services.

This month, we stand with survivors and reaffirm our belief that safer children, supported families, and stronger communities begin when we confront these issues together, not separately. 💜

We would like to recognize Detective Brian Spencer of LMPD/OSPI for his generosity and support of the children we serve. 💙

Detective Spencer provided teddy bears for children being seen at the center, offering a meaningful source of comfort during what can often be a difficult time.
