A picnic is more than a meal outdoors—it can be an opportunity to live on mission. 💚

What if this week you invited a neighbor to share lunch at the park? What if you packed an extra sandwich and used the time to check in on a friend? What if your next discipleship meeting happened over a picnic blanket instead of a coffee shop table?

Some of the most meaningful spiritual conversations happen in ordinary moments. A simple invitation can open the door to encouragement, deeper relationships, and opportunities to share the hope of Christ.

This World Picnic Day, consider:
🧺 Inviting a neighbor to lunch
🌭 Hosting a picnic with someone you'd like to know better
📖 Meeting with a friend or younger believer for a discipleship picnic
🙏 Asking God to use everyday moments for eternal impact

You don't have to go far to be on mission. Sometimes it starts with a picnic basket and an open seat at the table. 🌍

What a beautiful picture of God's heart for the nations. 🌍💚

The psalmist doesn't keep praise private—he declares God's goodness among the peoples and proclaims His faithfulness to the nations. As followers of Christ, we are invited to do the same: worship boldly, speak of His faithfulness, and point others to the God whose love reaches farther than we can imagine.

Today, may our prayers, our conversations, and our actions bring glory to God and reflect His desire for every person to know Him.

🙏 Praise God for His unfailing love.
🌍 Pray for the nations to hear the good news of Jesus.
💬 Look for opportunities to share what God has done in your life.

May His glory be over all the earth!

📖💚 This month in WMU curriculum, we're learning that missions isn't always across the ocean—sometimes it's right here in Kentucky.

The Send Relief Ministry Center in Ashland serves in a region facing significant challenges, including poverty, food insecurity, and substance abuse. Yet in the midst of hardship, God is at work.

From distributing food through a network of semi-trucks to supporting disaster response efforts nationwide, the ministry center meets practical needs in powerful ways. They also offer addiction recovery support, educational assistance, medical and dental services, and help with everyday needs—all with the goal of building relationships and sharing the hope of Christ. 🌍

This month's curriculum reminds us that missions happens through faithful, everyday ministry. It looks like serving neighbors, meeting needs, and opening doors for gospel conversations.

Join us as we learn, pray, and discover how God is using His people to bring hope to Eastern Kentucky and beyond.

🙏 Pray for the staff and volunteers serving in Ashland.
🙏 Pray for those facing hardship in their communities.
🙏 Ask God to show you how you can live on mission right where you are.

On June 13, 1793, William Carey set sail for India, beginning a missionary journey that would have a lasting impact on gospel work around the world. His willingness to go reminds us that missions often begins with a simple but costly act of obedience.

Christmas in August is a simple and meaningful way for individuals, families, churches, and missions groups to support North American missionaries. Each year, missionaries share specific ministry needs, and churches can help by collecting and sending supplies that will be used to serve their communities and share the gospel.

But Christmas in August is about more than a box of supplies. It's an opportunity to learn about missionaries, pray for their ministries, encourage them with notes and letters, and partner in the work God is doing across North America.

Now is the perfect time to begin planning with your WMU group, Sunday School class, family, or church!
