🌟 Spotlight Sunday 🌟

Today, we're praying for Hope House Ministries.

Hope House believes that poverty is more than a lack of resources, it is often the result of broken relationships with God, others, and ourselves. Through faith-based education, transportation assistance, workforce development, addiction recovery, financial empowerment, and parenting support, Hope House walks alongside individuals as God restores lives from the inside out.

By meeting both physical and spiritual needs, Hope House helps replace hopelessness with hope, restoring dignity, purpose, and the life-changing love of Christ. This is what it means to Fill the Gap, bringing gospel restoration to places where brokenness once seemed overwhelming.

Will you join us in praying?

πŸ™ For continued perseverance, wisdom, clarity, and discernment for Hope House's leadership and staff as they faithfully seek God's direction.
πŸ™ For God's financial provision and continued expansion of the ministry so even more lives can be reached.
πŸ™ For churches, volunteers, community partners, and other organizations to come alongside Hope House and strengthen this life-changing work.

As we look toward the Eliza Broadus Offering Week of Prayer (September 13–20), let's thank God for ministries like Hope House that are faithfully filling the gaps with the hope of the gospel, one life, one family, and one restored relationship at a time.

🌟 Spotlight Saturday 🌟

Today, we're praying for Pathway of Hope, a pregnancy care center led by Director and KY-MSC Missionary Diana Anderson.

Every day, Pathway of Hope walks alongside women, men, and families facing unplanned pregnancies with compassion and the love of Christ. Through free ultrasounds, practical resources, parenting support, fatherhood encouragement, post-abortion Bible studies, and ministries like Embrace Grace, families find more than help, they find hope.

Time and again, God provides in remarkable ways, opening doors to meet physical needs while creating opportunities to build relationships and share the gospel. This ministry truly fills the gap where fear, uncertainty, and spiritual lostness meet the life-changing hope of Jesus.

Will you join us in praying?

πŸ™ For Director and KY-MSC Missionary Diana Anderson, the staff, and volunteers as they faithfully minister to families with wisdom, compassion, and encouragement.
πŸ™ For every client who walks through the doors, that hearts would be open to the truth of the gospel and that those facing unplanned pregnancies would choose life.
πŸ™ For the continued growth of the men's ministry, that fathers would be equipped and encouraged to embrace their God-given role with strength, love, and faithfulness.

As we prepare for the Eliza Broadus Offering Week of Prayer (September 13–20), let's thank God for ministries like Pathway of Hope that are faithfully filling the gap by extending grace, offering hope, and pointing families to Jesus.

πŸ’™πŸ’š A little thank you from Pike County!

Hear from Josh Odom, Director of Freeda Harris Baptist Center, as he shares a heartfelt thank you to Kentucky Baptists for their generosity and support.

Because you give, pray, and go, ministries like Freeda Harris can continue to Fill the Gap and share the hope of Jesus across Eastern Kentucky.

Your generosity is making a difference, one person, one family, and one community at a time. πŸ™

πŸŒπŸ’™ What a striking reminder that there is no higher calling than following God's will.

Spurgeon wasn't diminishing earthly vocationsβ€”he was magnifying the privilege of being sent by the King of Kings. When God calls someone to make Christ known, there is no title, position, or earthly honor that compares.

The same is true for each of us today. While not everyone is called to serve overseas, every believer is called to live on mission. Whether God leads us across the street or across the world, our greatest joy is found in faithfully following where He leads.

πŸ’š Pray for those God has called to the nations.
🌍 Encourage those preparing to go.
πŸ™ Ask God how He is calling you to live on mission today.

There is no greater privilege than saying "yes" to the One who calls.

πŸŽ‰πŸŒ Today we celebrate the birth of William Carey, often called the Father of Modern Missions.

A village shoemaker turned pastor, Carey believed the Great Commission was still God's call for the Church. At a time when many thought overseas missions were unnecessary, he challenged believers with the now-famous words:

"Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God."

In 1793, Carey sailed to India, where he spent more than 40 years faithfully serving. He translated portions of the Bible into multiple languages, established schools, advocated for social reform, trained local pastors, and shared the hope of Christ with countless people.

William Carey's life reminds us that God can use ordinary people who are willing to trust Him with extraordinary assignments.

Today, let's pray:
πŸ™ For missionaries faithfully serving around the world
πŸ“– For God's Word to continue reaching every language and people group
πŸ’š For courage to expect great things from God and attempt great things for His Kingdom

May Carey's legacy inspire us to faithfully pray, give, go, and live on mission wherever God has placed us.

🌟 Spotlight Sunday 🌟

As we prepare for the Eliza Broadus Offering Week of Prayer, we're highlighting ministries across Kentucky that are helping Fill the Gap by meeting needs and sharing the hope of Christ. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Today, we're praying for Heavenly Harvest, a nonprofit ministry serving Marshall, Calloway, and McCracken counties through an all-season greenhouse farm. What began as Barbara Ray's vision to provide fresh, nutritious food year-round has grown into a powerful ministry of compassion and gospel hope.

In 2025 alone, Heavenly Harvest gave away 5 tons of tomatoes. Over the past five years, the ministry has also distributed 8,501 coats, each with a Bible tucked inside the pocket. Every tomato, every coat, and every conversation is offered free of charge, for the glory of God, with the desire to connect people to Christ and the Kentucky Lake Cowboy Church community.

This is what it looks like to Fill the Gap, meeting physical needs while pointing people to the eternal hope found in Jesus.

Would you join us in praying?
πŸ™ For Barbara Ray, that God would continue to give her the strength and endurance to lead this ministry.
πŸ™ For volunteers who will catch the vision of serving Christ by feeding and clothing those in need.
πŸ™ For every person served through Heavenly Harvest, that they would experience the love of Christ and come to saving faith in Him.

As we look ahead to the Eliza Broadus Offering Week of Prayer (September 13–20), let's thank God for ministries like Heavenly Harvest that are faithfully filling the gaps where lostness and need are greatest across Kentucky.
