Rolling Recovery has been the cornerstone of our work for more than three years, breaking the transportation barrier that keeps so many from accessing treatment and recovery options. Its client‑centered approach ensures that every person who steps into our van is met with dignity, respect, and a referral tailored to their unique needs. Our peers take the time to understand each individual’s circumstances, goals, and readiness for change, helping them navigate a system that can otherwise feel overwhelming or out of reach. By meeting people where they are, Rolling Recovery creates a first point of connection that can open the door to long‑term healing. 🚐✨
This moment is especially urgent for Seeds of New Leaf. Earlier this week, the nation watched as $2 billion in federal addiction and mental health grants were nearly eliminated — a decision reversed only after intense public pressure. But even with that reversal, the reality remains: federal cuts have already strained the field, and the threat of future reductions continues to destabilize organizations like ours. As public funding shrinks, nonprofits are forced to rely more heavily on private foundations, creating an extremely competitive landscape where small, grassroots organizations are often overlooked despite doing some of the most critical work.
Rolling Recovery has already felt the impact, with an immediate reduction in available funds that forced us to cut and suspend services. These are choices no community‑based program ever wants to make. That’s why we’re turning to supporters like you, who understand the importance of this mission and the people it serves. 💛
