The Women's Global Cancer Alliance is working to establish a clinic in Gonaives, Haiti, with the goal of eradicating cervical cancer there with the "See and Treat" methodology. This article from the World Health Organization (WHO) mentions the use of acetic acid as a way to diagnose cervical cancer in low income countries. While WHO's article is focused on Africa, the use of acetic acid (main active ingredient in vinegar) is common to both organizations.
