There will be not be an OPEN WELD day this coming Saturday, July 25 due to the continuing renovations at the welding shop.

Big week for the Iron Workers Local 70 JATC
at the 42nd annual Ironworkers International Instructor Training in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Apprentice Coordinator Ryan Terry and instructors Tyler Williams, Kelly Cooper, Adam Quinton, Jake Willis, and Christopher “Monkey” Warden proudly represented Local 70.

Congratulations to. Adam Quinton, Jake Willis and Christopher Warden who earned their
IW Certified Teacher’s Credentials.
Their hard work and dedication help ensure our apprentices receive the best training possible.

We also want to give a special shoutout to Tyler Williams who earned 2nd place in the Rebar Tying Competition— an accomplishment while competing against some of the best Ironworkers from across the Nation.

Thank you to Ryan Terry, the driving force behind the JATC, and our instructors who continue to commit to the future of Iron Workers Local 70!

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Lifetime member Brother Frank E. Jones Jr.

Frank Jr. is the father of Apprentice Instructor Frank R. Jones and lifetime member of Iron Workers Local 70 and former Apprentice Coordinator.

Frank dedicated many years to Local 70 and the Apprenticeship Program and made many fond memories.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a service following at 6:00 p.m. at Dignity Funeral Home
