Stories have the power to create change. 💚
Our Dare to Care team recently welcomed Feeding America to our partner pantry, Bread of Life Food Pantry in Goshen, Kentucky.
The day was filled with listening and learning from our neighbors.

We’re grateful to the neighbors and the pantry team at Bread of Life who opened their doors and shared their voices with us. Together, we’re making sure their stories are heard.

📈Over 40,000 Kentuckians have lost food assistance since the passing of the One Big Beautiful Bill. This week we joined Mayor Craig Greenberg to urge federal lawmakers to restore and invest in SNAP benefits for the thousands across our community struggling to put food on the table. We're grateful to stand alongside city leaders and community partners to support our neighbors in need.

A big shoutout to the Louisville Business First team for rolling up their sleeves and spending the day with us! 👏💚
Their team stopped by our Senior warehouse to pack food boxes that will help ensure local seniors have nutritious food when they need it most.
We’re grateful for community partners who turn their support into action, one box at a time.

"We are not built to turn people away. We were made to help people. So when we have to say, 'we're completely out of food. It'd be better to come back next week even though you're hungry this week,' that's really painful."

Shelves and freezers are empty in the food pantry here at Neighborhood House. More people are losing eligibility for SNAP benefits just as the federal government is reducing the amount it provides to regional food banks like Dare to Care Food Bank. Dare to Care distributes food to hundreds of local pantries, including ours.
