SNAP rules are changing, but the need for food isn't going away.

More than 80,000 Kentuckians have lost access to SNAP, including nearly 25,000 children and more than 6,500 seniors.

For families already struggling to make ends meet, losing food assistance can mean impossible choices. And for food banks already serving record numbers of neighbors with fewer resources, the pressure continues to grow.

Food banks cannot replace SNAP. Please consider sending a letter to your lawmaker urging for more support for federal nutrition programs. Our community needs us 🍎https://daretocare.org/advocate/

Hunger doesn't always look the way we imagine. It looks like working parents, retirees, small business owners and neighbors doing everything they can to make ends meet.

Today, more than 203,000 people across Kentuckiana are facing food insecurity, a record high and while food banks are essential, we cannot solve hunger through food alone.

The GE Appliances team rolled up their sleeves for Blue Wave Day of Service. From revitalizing our pantry space and sorting food to rebuilding a safer bridge for our staff, these volunteers helped strengthen the spaces and operations that make our mission possible.

This September, 278 volunteers supported 27 local food pantries, we launched a new text service connecting neighbors to food resources, and community donations through Kroger ’s Round Up for Hunger made more than 200,000 meals possible.

We also rallied food banks from across Kentucky to advocate for a hunger-free community and joined 9/11 Day volunteers to pack 170,000 meals.
