‼️Summer can bring a "triple squeeze" for families already struggling to make ends meet:

➡️Higher grocery bills as children eat more meals at home
➡️Increased childcare costs while parents continue working
➡️Rising utility bills as temperatures climb

For many families, these added expenses can create impossible choices between food, childcare, and keeping the lights on.

That's why programs like Dare to Care's Summer Meals for Kids are so important. By providing free meals at sites across our community, we're helping ensure children have access to nutritious food while school is out.

"Imagine living successfully for years and years, then you go to your refrigerator and there's nothing there. And it's not that I did anything wrong."

Meet James, a Louisville-native. 💚 Like many older adults across our community, James is navigating rising costs on a fixed income. For many seniors, paying for medication, housing, and utilities can leave little money left for healthy groceries.

Through Dare to Care's network of food pantries, he can access the nutritious food he needs to stay healthy and independent.

We're proud to partner with Mayor Craig Greenberg, the Juneteenth Jubilee Commission, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) to support our neighbors and strengthen our community through a FREE food giveaway.

We recently joined WAVE 's Listens Live! to help spread the word about AGAPE Day! 💚
Our Director of Communications, Alexus Richardson, joined Dr. Vanessa McPhail from Louisville Metro Government's Office of Equity and Dr. Rasean Crawley, President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), to discuss this upcoming community event.

AGAPE Day is a FREE food distribution open to the community, helping connect neighbors with nutritious food and valuable resources.
