Our youth rolled up their sleeves and planted tomato, basil, and watermelon seeds in starter containers. With guidance from Ti'Dal Gasira Hakika Garrett, they learned about companion planting, how certain plants grow well together. For example, basil is often planted near tomatoes because it can help repel pests and attract pollinators.

Now our seeds are safely stored, and we can’t wait to watch them sprout, grow, and eventually become a harvest!

At The Sparrow House, we’re growing more than food, we’re growing knowledge, sustainability, legacy, and community, one seed at a time. 🍅🍉💚
