Rain couldn't stop the hustle! 🌧️🍋
​This week, we came to Play Cousins Collective to help youth launch their own lemonade businesses. They learned everything from job roles and cost of goods to marketing strategies.
​When the weather changed, they pivoted like true pros, brought the stands inside, and soared! They raised a massive $590 for their field trip! 💰
​Huge thank you to everyone in the community who supported our young entrepreneurs!

What started as a simple thought in my head to provide high school graduates with dorm essentials and a mentor has grown into a powerful movement. Our goal has always been simple yet profound: to give Black and brown youth the support and resources they need to thrive in college, trade schools, or the workforce while helping parents navigate the transition of letting their children spread their wings. ​From day one, I knew Clanisha Coleman was the perfect person to lead the college readiness piece, and together, our impact has grown beautifully:
​Year 1: 4 students
​Year 2: 8 students
​Year 3: 18 students!
​We are just two women bringing our talents, dedication, passion, and love together to ensure our youth succeed and parents know they have a village standing behind them.

Over the past four weeks, The Prophecy Foundation has brought hands-on learning to more than 150 youth—and we're not even halfway through the summer!

From Lemonade Stand 101: Learning to Be a Boss, Lemonade & Cupcake Stand Business, Building Healthy Friendships, Gaining Self-Confidence, and Art Expression, our goal has been to make learning engaging, practical, and fun. We believe young people learn best when they can create, explore, lead, and experience success without the pressure of traditional classrooms.

Our team has been phenomenal. One of the things I love most is giving each facilitator the autonomy to bring their own creativity, expertise, and passion to the table. That's what makes every lesson authentic and impactful.

Every summer, we intentionally collaborate with incredible local business owners and community leaders who pour into our youth. Thank you for sharing your gifts and helping us build the next generation of entrepreneurs, leaders, creators, and confident young people.

And just like that, our girls group/Girl Scouts school-year chapter has come to a close, and what better way to end it than by celebrating the moms, grandmas, aunties, and caregivers who make it all happen. The ones making sure the girls get to every meeting, cheering them on, and showing up with love and support every single time.

Our girls flipped the script and hosted a beautiful tea party just for them. They set the tables, arranged the plates and silverware, made flowers, gave thoughtful gifts, shared a meal, and created such a sweet space of appreciation and joy. It was the cutest reminder that our girls are learning leadership, kindness, and how to pour back into the people who pour into them.

While this may be our last school-year meeting, the fun is far from over. Summer programming is still happening, just with a different vibe. We are so grateful for every girl who has been part of this group and can’t wait to keep the connection going.

After weeks of learning, planning, and dreaming… reality showed up at the Tiny Tycoon Vendor Fair hosted by Tiandra Tee Marie and baby, it showed up with receipts 💰✨

These young bosses didn’t just talk about business they stepped ALL the way into it. From setting up their tables to pitching their products, every youth got a real taste of what it means to be your own boss. And yes they made money 👏🏾

But now comes the real lesson…

“How much do you actually keep?” “How much goes back into the business?” “Ohhh this is how this works 😅”

That moment when profit meets responsibility? Yeah that’s where the magic (and growth) really happens.

And can we talk about the branding?! 🔥

I just love what we’re building with our “You Are A Boss” programs. We’re not just teaching we’re creating experiences.

The Prophecy Foundation believes in empowering the youth and speaking life into existence.
I successfully merged Mardi Gras and Black History to create an engaging and educational experience for the youth at Ecplise during their break.
