After weeks of learning, planning, and dreaming… reality showed up at the Tiny Tycoon Vendor Fair hosted by Tiandra Tee Marie and baby, it showed up with receipts 💰✨

These young bosses didn’t just talk about business they stepped ALL the way into it. From setting up their tables to pitching their products, every youth got a real taste of what it means to be your own boss. And yes they made money 👏🏾

But now comes the real lesson…

“How much do you actually keep?” “How much goes back into the business?” “Ohhh this is how this works 😅”

That moment when profit meets responsibility? Yeah that’s where the magic (and growth) really happens.

And can we talk about the branding?! 🔥
Shout out to Nikki Shawntae because these businesses were looking OFFICIAL!

I just love what we’re building with our “You Are A Boss” programs. We’re not just teaching we’re creating experiences.

We offer: 🍋 Lemonade Stand :where it all begins
💼 Build Your Own Business: where they level ALL the way up

Real skills. Real money. Real confidence.

These kids aren’t just playing business…
They’re becoming BOSSES 💯

When one is able to pursue their passion, the impact is never in question.
The Prophecy Foundation believes in empowering the youth and speaking life into existence.
I successfully merged Mardi Gras and Black History to create an engaging and educational experience for the youth at Ecplise during their break.
Thank you, DeWana LeNae , for recognizing the importance of providing activities during No School Days and entrusting me. ❤️

As we move through a day that invites reflection on leadership, justice, and collective responsibility, we’re lifting up our Civic Engagement pillar-the work that helps families understand how power works and how people shape the systems around them.

A part of civic engagement is about knowing how government functions, building relationships with decision-makers, and organizing together so policies reflect the needs of our communities. Together with Play Cousins Collective and The Presley Post, that work comes to life on February 22 with Power, Policy & People-an evening to learn how local and state government works, meet lawmakers, share a meal, and explore how collective action creates change. Childcare provided 🙂

Four weeks. One powerful journey.

Over the last month, we didn’t just talk about building we showed youth the process. They became contractors, creators, and problem solvers.

Week 1: Dream building. Just a pencil, paper, and imagination. Youth designed their vision from scratch.

Week 2: Tool time. Safety first! They learned how to properly use a nail gun, electric screwdriver, and hammer hands-on and confident.

Week 3: Construction thinking. Using marshmallows, popsicle sticks, and rubber bands, teams built structures that were tall, steady, and weather-protected. The creativity was next level they even melted marshmallows to make glue!

Week 4: Skills to the test. Youth built cars, lights, ferris wheels, and more bringing everything they learned to life.

They walked in curious.
They walked out construction ready. 🔨💡

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. 💛

Thank you again IWRBR

Another year, another opportunity to enrich young minds. This week, our students had a blast at Wesley House, Tiger Foundation, and Bates, learning STEM, baking, and camping skills. We're thrilled to announce Ms. Hailey's arrival, who'll be leading our STEM initiatives. Construction is also joining the mix. Every activity is crafted to promote social-emotional growth and enjoyment.

When the school day ends, learning shouldn’t stop it should shine brighter. 🌟
celebrates programs that keep our kids safe, inspired, and connected.
These spaces help youth discover their passions, build confidence, and grow as leaders.
Let’s keep the lights on for our children’s future.💡

❤️🙌🏿Success has been made! ✨
We are so proud of our Rising Graduates—all of them have left Louisville , have settled into rooms, and are ready for the school year.
👏🏿We pray over each of them, that they have success, support, and strength.

But we know the work doesn’t stop here. Nationally, only 43% of Black students graduate college within six years, compared to 67% of white students. Up to 35% of Black students never finish their degree, often due to financial strain, lack of mentorship, or limited support navigating the first year. 💔

That’s why the Rising Graduates Program exists. ( Make It Count Consulting and The Prophecy Foundation) We walk alongside high school seniors as they transition into college, trade, or employment. We supply dorm essentials, guide parents through the transition, connect students to mentors and mental health specialists, and offer practical help with financial aid, resumes, scholarships, and applications.
And our support continues after year one—this year, we even covered summer tuition for one of our alumni so he could stay enrolled and return in the fall. 🌱 Thank you to Mike Mulrooney

This year, we had limited support in funding and donations , 80% of essentials came from our pockets.
We are extremely thankful for the ones who did provide donations and to Lavonda Boyd from Inspire1 for supplying the laptops.

We need our community. If you are a mentor, a mental health specialist, andknow anyone the students should connect with or know funders who believe in investing in the success of our next generation, we invite you to join us. We still need ongoing supplies for the year. Together, we can ensure our students not only get to college—but finish and thrive.

SN: When you build a real connection with young people, it never fades—because trust lasts. These youth all came through Parkland BGCK ,nd I had the privilege of watching them grow up right in front of me. My time at Parkland was never just a job—it was an investment, a commitment, and a way of life.
