The Roll Call Foundation

The Roll Call Foundation It all began with 3 Disabled Veterans, 2 Retired US Army Horses and 1 Mission, to Help One Person Everyday

The Roll Call Foundation Inc is an IRS 501, c3 nonprofit organization founded by 3 disabled veterans, to help our battle buddies in Kentucky and Texas. We also offer Equine Assisted Therapy to our friends, with the use our Registered American Paint Horse "Chief Mack" to teach those in wheelchairs to drive a buggy that is set up with wheelchair access and lock downs. They will then be able to drive

a horse in an arena or on the cart paths. We also offer programs for Veterans, Responders and Special Kids with Needs, where they can also do groundwork with Mack. The barn experience can be exciting for many folks, so we plan to enjoy sharing that with others. We continue to serve several guest every other Friday with our Wear Red Friday Free Lunches. And our newest program is doing events for the senior veterans and veteran widows at Morningpointe Senior Assisted Living in Louisville. If you would like to talk to us about our mission we would welcome the opportunity to share our story. 100% goes back to those we are helping, no salaries or overhead. Special Kids with Needs are extremely important to us as well. A special kid who was close to all of us in our community, and especially to my family, Jesse, succumbed to brain cancer at 17 His message for life was simple; “Help everyone you can.” His death left a hole in our hearts, and we try to carry out our promise to him of making sure his legacy lives on by trying to help others every day.

Please consider helping us out this year on Sept 10, through Give for Good! We will be sharing the links to donate soon. A $5 donation means a lot to us. As we have grown the need to ask for some help has come. No $10/ month or anything like that. We still and always will be NO SALARIES. Our overhead consist of rent fees and utilities and more insurance. 5 years ago I started using my retirement and VA disability to cover all the expenses. We still cover both of our horses board and care along with most day to day. Feels strange to ask for some help. So we hope you understand. We looked at Grants and many require you to have over $50k in operating expenses. We operate on about $25k.

Thank you

Roll Call Friday🇺🇸
Posting from 36,000 feet as I make my way to Seattle for a first ever cruise. Alaska is the destination. Cooler air and easier breathing. Left just in time for maybe better weather in KY.

The Roll Call Family is graciously tending to the mission for the week, just like they do every day.
Last night our Freedom Water Directors lost a long time close friend, Curtis. No more treatments, no more pain. For Robbie it was the loss of a sister in law in the morning and a great friend in the evening. Prayers for the families please.

Never having been on a cruise I'm open to new experiences and look forward to the sights of Alaska again after almost 35 years being there in the Air Force. Booked this trip 2 years ago, felt like forever to happen. Thank you to everyone who has hit FOLLOW. We are I believe 1 from 4600 Followers.
We were excited when 500 of you started. We can't thank you enough.

Be watching for some trip pics, and the teams will be sharing project pics as well at home. Oh I almost forgot to share some of our Roll Call family had a great grand baby a couple of days ago. Exciting news.

ROLL CALL THURSDAY🇺🇸

Today we wish one of longest tenure volunteers a Happy Birthday, and with sadness announce he's lost his wife this morning after a long illness. Steve and Julia "Julie" are very special to us and are heartbroken for him. I gave him the call sign "Eye Candy" years ago, because we couldn't get a bad photo of him.

I was very fortunate to spend time with her at the hospital after she started declining. We had some great talks and shared many stories of her Eye Candy. Julie was very involved in her Catholic Faith from an early age. And we shared a lot of prayers. Julie will be missed. Now we need to surround Steve as he continues to see his health change too.

What a beautiful day outside. Enjoy your Thursday. Find a way to HELP ONE PERSON EVERY DAY.

Roll Call Wednesday🇺🇸
This morning at West we had some incredible blessings dropped off. A new electric hospital bed and air mattress. An electric Hoyer Lift, and bathroom assist appliances. If you have a need or know someone who does. Please reach out. We don't ask you questions, and no paperwork. Honesty System, just no resell. These were gifts and intended for those who can't get access to them.

The husband was a grizzly bear and a handshake that swallowed up mine and Jim's. She was a small one and had great hugs. We are so lucky.

Arizona called and said he's out hustling for the 3rd Annual Roll Call of Veterans Powwow, October 2026! A true brother with a servants heart.

Jim is in the shop, making gifts for an upcoming scouting event. The Order of the Arrow Vigil Call Outs. A night both me and Trevor got to experience in our scout life. I was given the name "Compassionate Handyman", Trevor "Quiet Hill Runner", Jim is "Collector of Colorful Cloth".

We are looking for suggestions of potential sponsors to go talk to for our events. We would appreciate it.

ROLL CALL TUESDAY🇺🇸
This morning started out with the Ramp Team getting a Navy Veteran access to his home with ease.
Also had a great time with fellow veterans and advocates at our monthly Military Officers Association of America luncheon. Now meeting with one of our Operation Freedom Waters Directors who's in town.
Always something to be doing. Makes me happy finding ways to connect with folks and plan how to HELP ONE PERSON EVERY DAY.

Thank you to John, David, Jim and Jack for the early morning build.

Thanks to Corby for stopping to talk about Freedom Waters.

We also received a great news call from a veteran and supporter, 100% VA Disability Approval. A veteran who truly deserved it and waited way too many years.

ROLL CALL MONDAY🇺🇸
Storms in our local area last night and this morning were fierce. Trucks flipped, trees and signs down. We made it though. Tomorrow the Ramp Team is building a metal ramp for a retired USN Senior Chief, not but 1.5 miles from the offices. Interested in helping? It'll be a couple of hours work starting around 8:30am. This is Ramp #37 this year.

FYI
I will be out of the office for a week starting Friday. I'm going North to Alaska! A 2 year plan that has counted down to a few days. Nothing changes if you need anything just call. The teams will be available. Breathing air that's not full of humidity sounds exciting right now.

If you're a business and would like to help in a small way please consider helping by sponsoring an upcoming event. Call me at (502) 523-8042.
