Last week, our very own Sr. Project Director of Recovery Ready Communities KY, Dallas Hurley, moderated an impactful panel at Kentucky Courts' Recovery-Oriented System of Care Summit Series.

The panel, titled “Perspectives from the Field,” emphasized the importance of integrating lived experiences, judiciary insights and other community stakeholder applications of system mapping to bridge critical gaps in accessibility to support services.

Speakers included:
- Alecia Webb-Edgington, President of Life Learning Center - Northern Kentucky
- Amy Martin, Assistant Director of Northern Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy
- James Daley, Jailer at Campbell County Jail
- James Sherry, CEO of Holly Hill Child & Family Solutions

VOA is proud to partner with the Kentucky Office Of Drug Control Policy to facilitate the Recovery Ready Communities KY (RRC) certification process. This initiative works to strengthen recovery-oriented systems of care, ensuring individuals struggling with addiction have the necessary support to overcome substance use disorder.

Calloway County recently submitted their application for RRC certification, aspiring to join the 10 other Kentucky counties that have achieved this status.

Thank you to Kentucky Office Of Drug Control Policy and LEX 18 News for highlighting the efforts of the amazing teams at GPD and WEDCO District Health Department as they continue to work together to implement effective interventions that save lives and strengthen Scott County's SUD recovery ecosystem.

The Georgetown Police Department collaborated with community partners to install two Narcan distribution boxes in town, offering the life-saving tool for free.

The RRC Kentucky team loves the enthusiasm from everyone in McCracken County who celebrated their recent certification with a billboard. We are looking forward to assisting more communities in West Kentucky and will be in Christian County for their KY-ASAP meeting at the Christian County Health Department on March 13!

Governor Jacqueline Coleman presented Hardin, McCracken, and Scott Counties with certification declaring them Recovery Ready!
