Too long/ Didn't Watch?

Spring break is coming up! Consider this while you're planning your vacations and your week: 1 in every 5 children will go home for spring break and not know when and where their meals are coming from. These children are silent ciphers. If you are a teacher, a doctor or a nurse, anyone in the psych field, a caregiver- then you already know the effects of malnutrition and food insecurity.

I don't know about you, but personally I am over the whole "Dinner & a movie" bit. Not to mention, restaurants are always overcrowded!

FAQ - Why am I a part of this event?

Food insecurity is something that will have an effect on 1 out of every 5 families in this country. Children lacking proper nutrition will be affected in one of 3 ways: mentally, academically, and/or behaviorally. Since it's started, Kans for Kids has been able to assist over 250,000 people in need! Your donations will go DIRECTLY to helping them stock pantries, create additional pantries, and distribute food items to these children within your community. This could one day be your neighbors, your children's friends, your church patrons, your family members.
