Let’s work to get this out to the schools in our area….

Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen Scholarship essays.

The deadline for both is October 31st, and need to be submitted to the post no later than 12:00am Oct. 31st.

The theme this year for both essays is "What a Veteran taught me about America".

The age group for Voice of Democracy is grades 9-12 and it is to be an audio recording of a written essay.

The Patriot's Pen is for grades 6-8 and it is to be a written essay.

What is KYNECT-A-VET?
If you are a Kentucky veteran aged 60 or older OR a veteran
of any age with a traumatic brain injury as defined by KRS
211.470, you may qualify to receive a Samsung mobile device
that is preloaded with the "Here Now Help" app to increase
veteran access to resources and supports.

This pilot program is a partnership with the KY Department of
Veteran Affairs and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services,
Department for Aging and Independent Living.
