“The Nine” is a special Minor League Baseball initiative honoring the historic impact and contributions of 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀. The name pays tribute to 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻, who wore #9 during his only Minor League season.

For this special night, the Louisville Bats will take the field as the 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝘀𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘀, honoring Louisville’s own Negro League baseball history. ✊🏾⚾️

We want to see a 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝟵 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 in the stands! ❤️💗💚💙💛💜🤎🖤

A huge shoutout to Darryl M. Tucker for an incredible 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘦 9 art exhibit! 👏🏾 His work beautifully captured the culture, history, pride, and spirit of the 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗲 through art.

What a great evening of fellowship, friendly competition, and community!

A special THANK YOU to Councilwoman Dr. Barbara Shanklin for inviting the Louisville Alumni NPHC to participate in the first Newburg Unity Kickball Classic! We truly appreciate the opportunity to come together with the Newburg community for an evening centered on fun, connection, and UNITY! 🤝🏾

🏆 Congratulations to the Red Team for taking home the championship, and shoutout to ALL the teams who hit the field and competed!

From every handshake and high-five to every smile and cheer, the Divine Nine showed what unity, service, and community are all about. Thank you to every member who came out to help make our students’ first day feel extra special.
