A real guide dog met our tactile sculpture of Buddy the guide dog today!

Buddy was the first guide dog in the U.S., and, just like this guide dog, she was a German Shepherd. In addition to this tactile sculpture you can touch and explore, we'll be displaying Buddy's harness nearby.

We're partnering with accessibility experts to create a museum experience everyone can explore and navigate on their own terms.

One of these experts is Rebecca Rosenberg from ReBokeh, an augmented smartphone app that describes surroundings, answers questions, translates text in real time and much more. ReBokeh's premium features will be available to you for free while you explore our space.
