Around 4:30 this morning, I got a call that one of our young clients was struggling.They’re 18, and because I know some of their story, I’m not giving up on them not to mention they’re getting younger because 24 had been my youngest client when I first got into this next it was 20 , so you see where this is going 😢
I kept thinking about the young people I see struggling on the streets without the help they need. I shared that and I was told “ That use to be me “ 😒
It broke my heart to see them leave, turn down the help they needs, and take off walking in the rain with a couple of bags. 😢😢😢 and this is why I created Resiliently Rooted Foundation. Early intervention - as young as 11 is key—we need to address mental health while our young people are still young, before they fall through the cracks. This is where Resiliently Rooted and Renewal Pathway intertwine, supporting people through mental health, recovery, and housing.
The work is hard, but I’m not giving up on them as long as they don’t give up on themselves but its still up to them .😒
