Thank you to our special community for coming together to support us this week. We are so grateful for every donation, fundraiser, post, share and encouraging word that helped us raise enough money to send kids to camp this summer.

We are so incredibly grateful for the support you have shown our chapter so far. Thanks to your generosity, we have a fun-filled week of programming planned for this summer's .

But we're not done yet. We currently have 2 campers who need the support of Kesem on our waitlist. That means your donation goes directly towards getting them off of the waitlist and into camp, where they can experience the impactful activities from nightly Cabin Chats, where they have the opportunity to open up to fellow campers, or Messy Games where they can run around and let emotions out in a supportive community.

As integral members of our community, nurses at are responsible for managing any first-aid and medical situations that arise and documenting and distributing medications to campers, student leaders, and staff while onsite.

Beyond their professional responsibilities, our nurses are encouraged to join us for camp games and activities, so they can use their skills to make a difference and have a whole lot of Kesem fun.

Description of Camp Kesem

Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. A program of Kesem, Camp Kesem operates over 100 free summer camps across the country for children ages 6 to 18 who have been impacted by a parent’s caner. Kesem programs have a lasting impact on children by providing them a peer-support network that understands their unique needs, builds confidence and strengthens their communication skills. In 2018, Camp Kesem served nearly 9,000 children coast-to-coast- all funed by generous donations from individuals, foundeations, and corporate partners. Camp Kesem at Bellarmine University was founded in 2019 and supports children in the Louisville community by providing a free week- long summer camp experience and year-round peer support.
