This is the latest example of a successful "demolition by intentional neglect" that the purchase by corporate entities often brings. As early as March 1996, The Louisville Historical League and others rallied to save St. Paul's from the fate it now faces. In this article, The owner at the time stated openly that they didn't care about the building. They just needed a parking lot.
