We would like to thank everyone for following and liking this page. Unfortunately, we must tell you that in August of 2021 Clarence and Melody were pushed out. We know it's a long time coming and we don't want to go into many details but we will tell you that some are out for themselves and will do whatever it takes to make themselves feel important. Clarence resigned because the board members were there to advise and advise only, not get involved in the day to day operations. Once the new head of the board was announced he made it plain what his intentions really were. Melody was then pushed out by the board as they figured that since Clarence left then Melody would be gone also as they are married. Clarence and Melody used their own money to fund this non profit. They were owed $5000 but were given a check for only $1500 and told that was it. No more. And what have they done with PSN since then? They certainly have not helped the community since Clarence and Melody left. They have essentially let it die. I am here to tell you that Clarence and Melody will soon be switching over this page to a new endeavor that will be run by them. I hope you will still support this page as they care very deeply about all of Pike County and it's citizens. They will continue to help in any way they can. Rest assured, something better is coming. They built PSN into what it was but now they are building something better. Thank you for your support.

update:

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a small increase with drugs and a slightly more increase in mental health. I want to remind everyone that if you see someone in need of services for drug or mental health issues to seek help. There are a lot of resources. I will give an update on Community Watch as it gets closer to completion. Remember that if we all stand together, we can make a difference in our communities.

Pike Safe Neighborhoods, or PSN for short, is a county wide non-profit that seeks to build safe and empowered neighborhoods in Pike County, MO by uniting law enforcement, residents, and youth. We seek to reduce crime, engage citizens and utilize resources in the most efficient manner to make our neighborhoods safer. Having been in operations since 2016, PSN has worked in conjunction with prosecutors, county sheriff’s department, and local police departments with a wide array of community input allowing for a more effective response to neighborhood issues. We are a liaison between community and law enforcement. If you don’t feel like you can talk to the police then you can talk to us and we will try to come up with a solution to whatever problem you may have. PSN is committed to helping all people in the county. We will help get ahead of the problem before any one gets hurt, in jail, or gets their kids taken away. If Clarence, Executive Director, is not available then you can speak with Melody, Assistant Director. We both have our certification in trafficking from the Department of Justice as well as Parenting classes. Clarence is CIT certified in both adult and youth. Autistic and mentally handicapped youth and adults have to be dealt with differently than others. Clarence is certified in how to handle these situations. He should be one of your first calls in a situation that involves someone on the spectrum or any youth threatening to harm themselves or others. The families of Pike County are very important to us. Anything you tell us is in the strictest of confidence unless you say otherwise. It is also important to note that we are not mandated reporters. If you are homeless, lost everything in a fire, need a job, or help of any kind then we have the resources available to help. Need help with drugs in your area? Is someone harassing you? Need help getting away from an abuser? Give us a call. Our number is 573-470-6747. Our address is 202 S Third street in Louisiana, MO. You can even privately message us on our page.
