🎨🐾 BRUSHING UP ON FFA! 💙💛

We kicked off the 2026–2027 FFA year with our first chapter meeting on Tuesday and it was a colorful one! 🎨✨

Members got the chance to meet our 2026–2027 FFA officers, enjoy some snacks, and get to know one another through a fun, hands-on activity! 🖌️

Members painted their hands and used them to “TAG” other members with different prompts, like:
👉 Tag someone you’re excited came to the meeting today!
👉 Tag someone you want to get to know better!
👉 Tag someone you’re looking forward to working with this year!

By the end, everyone’s shirts were covered in colorful handprints—and our chapter was covered in connections! 🖐️💙💛

Three Louisiana FFA members traveled to the Missouri State Fair to participate in Food Insecurity Day! 💙💛

Together, they helped pack just under 68,000 meals in only 2½ hours! 🙌 The packing will continue tomorrow with a goal of 250,000 meals to be distributed to food banks across Missouri.

They even had the opportunity to hear from Governor Kehoe and Missouri Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn! 🇺🇸🌾 They also had the opportunity to explore the fairgrounds! 🎡🎟️

🏆 A great week at the Missouri State Fair for these future Louisiana FFA members! 🐄💙💛

Jarrett Chapuis brought home Reserve Champion 4-H Balancer Heifer honors, while Audrey Chapuis earned a Gold! They also both placed in the Bacon Show, with Jarrett finishing 8th and Audrey 10th. 🥓👏

Big congratulations to Johnny Picone, who has earned the American FFA Degree — the highest degree an FFA member can achieve! 💙💛

Johnny will officially receive this incredible honor at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis this October! 🌾🏆

We are SO proud of Johnny and the dedication, leadership, and hard work that made this achievement possible!

We are SO excited to announce that our chapter has been named a Two-Star National Chapter based on our National Chapter Award application! 💙💛

Less than 10% of FFA chapters nationwide are receiving a National Chapter Award star rating this year, making this recognition an incredible honor for our members and our chapter. 🌟

We are proud of the hard work, leadership, service, and impact our members have put into making our chapter what it is today. And the best part… we’ll be recognized on stage at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo! 🎤🐮🌾

As the FFA banquet hall grows quiet and the blue jackets are carefully hung, we take a moment to reflect on a year full of hard work, growth, and unforgettable memories. Awards are being documented—each one telling a story that will become part of our chapter’s history for years to come.

To our members: thank you for your dedication, passion, and the memories you’ve created along the way. To our parents, school staff, and community: your continued support means more than words can express and makes everything we do possible.

And a special thank you to Alyssa Jarrard for capturing these moments so we can relive them for years to come.
