🥫💙 FOOD FOR TODAY. SUPPORT FOR TOMORROW.

For many families, making the grocery budget stretch from one week to the next can be a challenge. Louisa County Resource Council’s Community Cupboard is here to help.

The Community Cupboard provides monthly allotments of food at no charge to income-eligible Louisa County residents.
And we believe food assistance should be more than just a box of staples.
Along with basics like:
🥫 Canned fruits & vegetables
🥜 Peanut butter
🫘 Protein-rich beans
we supplement our food offerings with fresh meats, produce, and dairy—giving our neighbors the ingredients they need to create nutritious meals for themselves and their families.

Because everyone deserves access to good food. ❤️

If you or someone you know is struggling to keep food on the table, please know that LCRC is here to help. There is no shame in asking for a helping hand—sometimes a little support can make a big difference.

☀️🎒 HUNGER DOESN’T TAKE A BREAK. ❤️

For many children, school provides more than education—it also provides dependable meals. When school is out for the evening, weekend, a holiday, or summer break, some children may not have enough food waiting at home.

That’s why Louisa County Resource Council’s Children’s Emergency Feeding Program works in partnership with Louisa County Public Schools, New Life Church, and other community partners to help make sure local children have access to food when they need it most.

🌙 In the evenings
🥪 On weekends
🍎 During school holidays

Kid-friendly food is distributed to children who are at risk of hunger and might otherwise not get enough to eat.

Because every child deserves to have enough food to learn, grow, play, and simply be a kid. 💙

We’re grateful for the schools, volunteers, donors, and community partners who help make this program possible.

Together, we can help ensure that a school calendar never determines whether a child has enough to eat.

🚗💙 Sometimes, keeping a car on the road means keeping a life moving forward.

For many of our neighbors, reliable transportation is more than getting from Point A to Point B. It means getting to work, getting to school, making it to medical appointments, and maintaining independence.

That’s why Louisa County Resource Council’s Wheels for Work program exists. 🛠️

Wheels for Work provides automobile repair assistance to eligible Louisa County residents, helping address needed repairs and keep reliable transportation within reach.

Through partnerships with local businesses, garages, and Louisa County High School’s Career & Technical Education program, LCRC is working with our community to keep our neighbors moving.

And for approved clients, repairs are coordinated for just a $25 fee.

Because a repaired vehicle can mean a job kept, an appointment made, a family supported, and an opportunity not missed.
