Stay safe out there!

🚨 Winter Weather Alert: Hazardous Road Conditions 🚨

The Louisa County Sheriff's Office advises all residents to stay off the roadways as winter weather continues to impact our area. Snow, ice, and freezing temperatures create extremely hazardous conditions on local roads, making travel unsafe for all motorists.

We urge you to remain at home if possible and avoid unnecessary trips. If you must travel, please take extra precautions:
• Drive at a reduced speed.
• Increase your following distance to avoid accidents.
• Keep your vehicle equipped with emergency supplies such as blankets, food, water, and a flashlight.
• Make sure your car is fully winterized, with functioning tires and windshield wipers.

The Sheriff’s Office works closely with local road crews, but conditions are worsening, and many roads remain unplowed and icy. Please stay informed and check local weather updates regularly.

Your safety is our priority. Let’s all do our part to keep Louisa County safe during this winter storm. For emergencies, call 911.
