Next Mile 13 reroute ‘official’ work day will be Saturday October, 31st at 9:00 am. Meet at SnoMo- trailhead 2- mile 15 lot at 9 am.
C’mon, you know you want to feel what it’s like to have the back muscles of a REAL mountain biker 😏

🚧 Temporary Trail Closure Notice 🚧
The main 25 mile loop will be closed after the mile 19 road crossing.
Division of forestry will be doing work between miles 19.3 and mile 22.
We have a detour route at the mile 19 road crossing with signs to direct you into the top of the mile 22 descent to the cabins.
You turn left on the road and ride about a half mile up and turn into some little known single track that will dump you out to the top of mile 22.3..
Again, the detour will be well marked with signage.
This is for all trail users. Mtb, runners, and hikers.

Welp, we had to do an emergency reroute right before the new reroute 😂
Mohican ain’t no joke, kid.
It always says, “Oh you guys think you’re making progress, eh ? Hold my b**r and let me throw a tree in your spokes. You wanna ride mountain bikes here, huh ? I’m going to make you work for it…”….
So yeah. Anyway, here are some videos for you.
The first one is 12.9 where we Had a giant root ball. We had to reroute around it.
The second is the new route around it.
The rest are sneak peeks of the ‘actual’ new reroute we were already working on.
We’re hungry and thirsty now.

⚠️⚠️CAUTION ⚠️⚠️

We have a large, uprooted beech tree at the mile 12.8 downhill. (The descent just before connecting to the gravel gas road)
We have a trail day planned for tomorrow, Saturday morning for more work on mile 13 reroute, which is right next to this tree mess.
This isn’t something as ‘simple’ as cutting a downed tree. Root balls are heavy and full of clay and rock. It’s going to take a few of us to get this cleared up for good rolling again.

So please be cautious of this section of trail.
You can skip the covered bridge climb and just ride the road up and cut into the left at mile 14, or continue to SnoMo and cut into at 15..
Also, the broken boards on Mile 19 bridge have been fixed.

We also will have more news to share Sunday evening about a different situation going down that we just got word of, so stay tuned for that.

If any of you would love to experience the honor and privilege of helping on the mile 13 reroute, we will be meeting this Sunday at 9:00 am at SnoMo/trailhead 2/mile 15 parking lot.
Bring water, gloves, and some good foot traction.
Tools will be provided by the club as well as guidance on the work being done.

We got the tree mess at mile 12.9 and 22.5, both in fast descents.
As of right now, all trails should be clear.
We also did some more scratching and clawing away at the mile 13 reroute today.

**CAUTION**

We have a dangerous tree situation just past the mile 19 marker.
We suggest going up to the right around this tree until we can get help from forestry to get the tree down to the ground.
It’s broken twice and both breaks are hanging on by a fiber.
Too dangerous to stand underneath and cut.
