🏀 **Loudonville Youth Basketball Sign-Ups are LIVE! Registration deadline is 10/26/26.
We’re looking forward to another fun season of Loudonville Youth Basketball! With one of our main practice facilities closed for half of the upcoming season due to renovations, we’ll have even less gym space available than in previous years. As we work around that challenge, this feels like the right time to try a different format with some exciting opportunities for our players!
📣 **A new approach this season**
In past years, our boys’ and girls’ teams in grades 3–6 have participated in the Ashland YMCA league. This season, we’re trying a more local format that helps us make the most of our available gym time while focusing on developing our young players. This approach also gives us a bit more flexibility throughout the season.
💪 **Building skills and confidence**
We’ll begin with focused skill work mixed with 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 intramural games. Our goal is to give kids more time with a ball in their hands, strengthen their fundamentals, build confidence, and have fun as they grow as players and teammates.
📅 **Sunday games**
Later in the season, players will have the chance to put those skills into action through scheduled games with other youth teams, including teams within our conference! **Games will be held on Sundays beginning at the end of December, either at LHS or at another school’s home court, such as Danville or East Knox.**
We’re approaching this as a trial year. This may not be a permanent change, and we’ll use what we learn this season to help shape the program going forward.
🙌 **Want to give basketball a try?**
Not sure if your child wants to commit to the full season? No problem! Please complete the registration form and bring your player to the first 2 weeks of skills practices to give basketball a try. It’s a chance to meet other players, have some fun, and see if they’d like to continue!

Above all, we want every child who’s interested in basketball to have the chance to learn, improve, and enjoy the game. We appreciate your flexibility and support as we try this new approach and work to make it a great season for the kids!
