Survivor Spotlight: Anna

At 10 weeks pregnant, Anna’s OB discovered what appeared to be a cyst on her o***y. During surgery, doctors discovered it was a malignant dysgerminoma. After her baby was born, Anna learned she was cancer free. 💙

Ovarian cancer symptoms can sometimes be mistaken for other common health issues. Symptoms may include bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, difficulty eating or feeling full quickly, urinary or bowel changes, and fatigue.

If symptoms are new, persistent, or unusual for you, talk with your healthcare provider.

Listen to your body. Know the signs. Speak up. Together, we can make a difference.

There are several different types of ovarian cancer, and each can behave differently.

Small Cell Carcinomas

That’s why we’re asking our Pink Sisters: Please don’t wait. Please don’t put yourself last. Make the appointment. Get the mammogram. Know your body.

While today is the last day of September and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, our work doesn’t stop here. We need to continue to bring awareness, education and public outreach about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer all year long.

I won’t be posting every day moving forward, but I am still working behind the scenes to fulfill our mission.🩵
