We cannot possibly convey our gratitude to Jim Roscher and Frank Denap for their incredibly hard work today. We needed help cleaning out an area full of broken junk to prepare it for a quiet, stress free area to train and spend quiet time with anxious shelter dogs. Not only did they answer the call, they jumped in with both feet and worked hard in this horrid heat. It’s not for the faint of heart.
We have many wonderful volunteers in our group; from a dedicated trainer, to dog walkers, to dog huggers. These humble, quiet, behind-the-scenes people are the reason the impossible gets accomplished. The hearts of all these dedicated volunteers are not measured by their size, but by the depth of commitment they have to make a difference in the lives of others, even an animal’s life.

Where in the World is Penelope?

It’s a real travesty when sweet older gentleman like this has been abandoned to the elements and finds himself in a cold concrete pen.
This sweet old man needs a place to call his home for the rest of his short life.
I hope someone steps up to give him a safe warm place for the time he has left.

Sweet Mulloy with his 3 teefs! He walks well on a leash and loves to be outside! He is all around a good boy. He is around 10 years old we’re guessing hims old and that’s all we know 🐾🥹

We are looking (needing!) for a volunteer to help with our web page. We lost our webmaster and we need some forms added to our existing site. We use the GoDaddy platform. Is there anyone out there that can lend a hand on occasion?

We are grateful to be invited to Monkey Town Brewing’s vendor showcase in Loudon on June 27th. Come see us and hear about our mission to help the dogs 🐶 of Loudon County. LCAS will be joining us with a couple of adoptable dogs.

And come take a look at some of these remarkable vendors.

Penelope! Still waiting for her new home!

Penelope returned from a 2 weeks stint in a far away galaxy where she learned the importance of walking well on a leash. No adoption pending though! She was heartbroken that she is still waiting for her new permanent home.
Her foster mom had plans today, but instead Penelope insisted on a session of self-reflection so she could share her feelings on the subject of being away for 2 weeks.
