Our club held its annual Golf For Sight Tornament last Saturday. Thanks to our event sponsors and the hard work of Larry Elder and Bill Cooley, we received enough donations to fund our KidSight and School Vision Screening programs, which scan about 3,000 children for eye defects each year.

Howard and Marcia Higby planned, organized, and worked another great Golf for Sight tournament. Many Lions worked the event, and many more played. A wonderful day for all of those involved.

Lions Harry Rucker, Rosie Sylvester, Perry Sylvester, and Mark Williams attended the Tennessee Lions State Convention in Clarksville, TN. Tennesse Secretary of State Tre Hargett praised the Lions for providing community service, where the State does not. Kathy Vik presented a Quilt of Valor to Lion Al Lyon, as his son, DG Larry Lyon, watches from the background. The next Lions Club International President, Mark Lyon (glasses), gave his vision of the future for Lions Across The World.
