The Loudon Lions donated $700 to the NH Veterans Home on June 10. The day celebrated an Outdoor Day of fishing. $500 is donated by the Lions Club to sponsor two Thursday Bingo Days and $200 represents donations received at this year's Memorial Day Cookout which was co-sponsored with the Loudon American Legion Post 88.
Presenting the check are Lions Members Ed Friedrich, Esther Boriss and Jean Blodgett and Veteran Resident Thomas A. Sawyer as well as the Home's Program Director, Heather Sparano.

Loudon Lions Support LES Book Purchases

The Loudon Lions and NH Lions Youth Services recently collaborated to contribute $1,500 towards the purchase of new books for the Loudon Elementary School Library. Attendees at the donation presentation included Club President Ken Ward, School Librarian Leeann Chapman, Lions District 44H Governor and Loudon Lion Vince Giambalvo, Club Treasurer Bobbie Gaudette, Club Vice President Ed Friedrich, School Principal David Bartlett, Club Secretary Lois Friedrich, Club Member and School PTA Member Lynda Caine, Lions Youth Services President Marie Hall, and Lions Youth Services Director Tracy Pierce.

Loudon Lions present MVHS Scholarships

Officers of the Loudon Lions Club were pleased and proud to present scholarship donations to several graduating seniors at Merrimack Valley High School on June 1. (l-r) Ed Friedrich, Ken Ward, and Sara Wagner of the Lions and scholarship recipients Nick Gelinas, Nathan Baylus, Katelyn Herrmann, and Holden Turner. Scholarship funds are raised via the annual Angels 5K Road race, created to keep the memories alive of former MVHS students. This year's race will be on Thursday evening, July 9th, at MVHS, starting at 6 p.m.
