Due to unforeseen circumstances, Harrison County Animal Control is actively seeking cat rescue partners.
As a municipal shelter, we receive an average of 1,100 cats per year. Many of these cats are healthy and adoptable, including some who arrive shy, scared, or undersocialized. These behaviors reflect their circumstances not their potential. With time, patience, and proper placement, many of these cats go on to thrive in homes and become loving companions.
We are in urgent need of rescue collaboration to help us expand lifesaving outcomes for cats who deserve that opportunity.
We will always prioritize public safety and public health, but we remain committed to advocating for the cats who never asked to end up here.
If your rescue organization is able to partner with us, please email [email protected]
Rescues must be a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Harrison County Animal Control reserves the right to request professional references.
Together, we can give more cats the chance they deserve. ๐
