All items to make these gifts are donated. Membership is free and newcomers are always welcome. Please contact us for donations.

We are a non denominational group who lovingly knits, crochets and sews hand made items for more than 2 dozen Silicon Valley non profit organizations who provide services and goods for those in need. Our fabulous and amazing members of all ages and skill levels meet monthly to share their creations and the desire to heal the world. Ongoing projects:

- Totes, rucksacks, Dopp kits, personal bags
We gladly accept and use all donated yarn (acrylic/worsted is preferred), knitting/crocheting accessories, cotton fabrics, batting, and sewing accessories.

Greetings Knitzvah members
I’d like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for all you do for Knitzvah and for our community. Your kindness, creativity, and dedication make a meaningful difference every day.

Just a gentle reminder that I’m looking for a few Good Will Ambassadors to join me at the Fri-J event on Friday, December 12, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the JCC. Bring your knitting or crocheting, or help me tie blankets at our table.

From now through December is our Annual “Sock it to me” Campaign in memory of our Vicki Nosanov Goldman. We will use our yarn collection bin as a sock gathering place, as well as collect at our meetings. Please feel free to invite others to join in the campaign to collect NEW socks. At Sunday's Knitzvah meeting we were given the opportunity to talk about current fundraising that we (Friends of the Campbell Library) are organizing as part of our "Love Our Library" Campaign. You can read more about the Love our Library Campaign here.

We are once again hosting a "Winter Holidays " online See's Candies store.

Here's how it works:
All sales are online via a link to our storefront (more on this later)
The sale is a transaction between See's and the individual, and the goods are shipped directly to the purchaser or to another delivery address. Sales tax will be collected and shipping is free above a predetermined amount.
The Friends receives up to 20% of each purchase.
The store is open now for orders. Shipments are sent immediately the order is placed. However as this is a seasonal store some items do not ship before Nov 10th. When you click on an item you will be told if it cannot be shipped before Nov 10th.
This storefront is open until Dec 5th.

Our next General Meeting is Sunday, Sept 14, 10:30 in the Los Gatos JCC auditorium.

Healthy Aging Senior Luncheon will be Oct 24, at the JCC. For more information and sign up can be found on Sagit’s webpage.

SAVE THE DATE!!
As mentioned at our July meeting, our next sort and distribution will take place on Tuesday, September 2nd at the JCC. This will be our first sort after summer break and promises to be a big one!

In addition to the incredible creations from our wonderfully prolific members, we’ll be distributing a bounty of beautifully sewn items from Sew For Love. I have no doubt this will be our largest distribution ever—and we’ll need all hands on deck to schlep, pack, and deliver.

I’m deeply grateful to those who’ve already signed up to help. If you haven’t yet, please do! Spouses and other able-bodied family members are welcome—and encouraged—to skip the gym and come help schlep from the shed instead.

Great meeting on Sunday. Here's a few of the items our members made and brought for the next round of donations.
Knitzvah's Fiscal year closes on June 30th.
8,435 items have been donated during the year and we have about 100 blankets currently ready for our next sort/donation.

Thank you to congregation Shir Hadash for gifting us a supply of polar fleece left over from their Mitzvah day. Students and parents finished eight tied blankets, also donated to Knitzvah.

•The assortment of acrylic yarn on cones are taking up a lot of room in the shed and will be donated elsewhere soon if not used by our members.

Crochet hooks and knitting needles are now stored in the shed. Please let me know if you need access after the meeting. We also need a volunteer to sort and maintain the collection.

A total of 10 responses with respect to attendance

As it stands there will no yarn available at the meeting.

A final decision on yarn availability will be made Saturday evening.

We gratefully acknowledge the receipt of several large estate donations of both yarn and fabric.
• Blanket quantities of yarn have been set aside and are available by request.
• Pieces of polar fleece have been flatlocked and skip stitched and are ready for crocheting.
• Large quantities of off white acrylic came in several of those donations. Please consider incorporating some in your larger blanket designs!
• An assortment of acrylic yarn on cones were donated. These are taking up a lot of room in the shed. Cones are easier to work from than you think, please consider them for your next project!
